CCMS is a place where we teach and model positive values in all aspects of our learning environment. Students, staff, and parents work together to create an atmosphere of belonging and responsibility where differences are celebrated. We respect and care for ourselves, each other, and our community.

Character Education Student of the Month Awards

This award recognizes students who consistently display good character throughout the month. Each month highlights a specific Character Word of the Month. Students nominated by their grade-level teams receive a certificate and a treat from the Character Education Team. They are also honored during a school-wide assembly.

VIP Students of the Month – MS Café

This award is given to students who contribute to a positive cafeteria environment by promoting belonging, responsibility, and respect. Cafeteria staff supervisors select 10 students each month based on observed displays of good character. Winners receive an Ice Cream Sundae at the end of the month.

Way to Go Students

This award is given by faculty and staff when they observe students demonstrating the building’s behavioral expectations:

• Be on Time & Ready to Learn
• Be Respectful
• Be Responsible
• Be Kind
• Be Safe

A written note describing the student’s positive behavior is read over the MIDWAY morning announcements. Recipients receive a Way to Go certificate, a treat, and have their photo displayed on their grade-level “Way to Go” bulletin board.

Students are recognized daily by faculty and staff for positive behavior. Once recognized, the Character Education Team offers fun opportunities and activities for these students to participate in. A list of activities is provided below
